Creating and Sustaining a Positive Workplace Culture
The health and well-being of school employees are essential for not only creating healthy learning environments for students but also for healthy schools in general. As workplace culture plays such a significant role in fostering employee wellness, you might be wondering how to create and sustain a positive one in your school community.
This session, hosted by one of our workplace wellness liaisons, includes both discussion and activities to help you explore ideas that encourage positive staff relationships. You’ll leave with a better understanding of the resources offered through our Employee and Family Assistance Program, as well as the tools and supports available online through The Sandbox (a space for healthy school workplaces), and armed with wisdom gained through peer-driven conversations—all of which you’ll be able to apply in your own workplaces.

Equine Assisted Learning
Most of us who own animals, know how therapeutic they can be. Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) offers a unique way for children and youth to experience therapy settings. Did you know that horse therapy is available to you in Central East Alberta? Come and join Roxy (Nationally Certified EAL coach and owner of REAL Equine in Paradise Valley, AB) and Tracy (BTPS PUF/Early Learning Lead) as they share first hand accounts of the benefits of horses for children/youth with diverse learning needs, for LGBTQ+, veterans, survivors of trauma, addictions, etc. This session is suitable for all grade levels.
