Continuing ASEBP Benefits into Retirement
Retirement is exciting, but also a little daunting with all the paperwork and planning to be done. With so many things to remember, let the Alberta School Employee Benefit Plan (ASEBP) make one of your checklist items a little easier—your retirement health benefits. During our session, participants will learn about eligibility requirements for maintaining their ASEBP benefits into retirement, the different coverage options available to them, the cost of coverage, as well as benefit options available after ASEBP coverage has ended. This session is beneficial for employees currently participating in ASEBP benefits and thinking about retirement.

Calm Classroom: A Calm Mind Is A Focused Mind
Take time out to deeply relax your body and mind as Susan guides you through a meditation (yoga nidra, a technique she studied with Yoga Masters in India and in California with Dr. Richard Miller) and teaches you simple and easy to learn mindfulness techniques some as short as 1-3 minutes in length.  Susan will show you how to integrate these mindfulness and meditation techniques into your daily life and classroom so you won't feel as drained or burnt out by the end of the day and will have a calmer classroom environment.  She will also teach you some quick and simple movement and breath exercises to connect your mind and body.  These exercises are great to help both you and your students refocus or "wake up" when your minds are wandering and you get that tired sleepy feel. 
This is a session you definitely don't want to miss as Susan brings these ancient meditation and mindfulness techniques she studied in India, New Mexico and California with world-renowned Yoga Masters making them easily accessible to you.

MINDFITNESS Breaks: Quick Techniques to Create a Calm, Focused & Fit Classroom
Mindfitness: the condition of being mentally and physically healthy 
The new signature MINDFITNESS Training combines Mindfulness and Fitness to create MINDFITNESS.  Designed specifically for teachers, students and parents we use movement and breath to connect the body and mind. Research shows exercise boosts student’s academic achievement, decreases behavior problems and improves focus and retention of information.  
During this session I will teach you MINDFITNESS techniques for relaxation, to improve fitness (DPA), focus, attention and concentration and to foster self-regulation. You will also experience in 30 seconds how you can shift negative thought patterns with a very simple breathing technique.
So come join us to experience MINDFITNESS techniques and learn how to integrate this into your daily life and classroom so everyone can lead healthier lives physically, mentally, socially and emotionally. 
The MINDFITNESS kit will be released in the Spring of 2019.
