African Music for Children
Limited Capacity seats available

In August 2017, Garth Prince returned home to Namibia for the first time in nine years to share his Canadian (African music) residency experience with students there. Music is very much a part of the culture in Namibia, but not part of the school curriculum. Three weeks later, Prince returned to Canada with new insight and experiences he now shares in stories, games and songs. In this workshop, Prince teaches you one song and a musical game he learnt on his trip. Teachers receive sheet music of the song so that they in turn can teach it to their own students. Garth will also answer questions about his trip, and give tips to teachers planning trips to Africa for leisure and/or educational purposes.
